At Miroku-no-sato Japanese Language School Of International Culture Institute, you can apply for scholarships from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, as well as various other scholarships.

Scholarships

Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students (Pre-college students)

Privately financed students with exemplary grades and academic ability who intend to enroll in college or university are eligible from this scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, which pays ¥50,000 per month for one year while attending Miroku-no-sato Japanese Language School. Two students are currently receiving this scholarship.

Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students (Reservation)

Privately financed students with exemplary grades and academic ability who intend to enroll in college or university are eligible from this scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, which pays ¥50,000 per month for one year after enrolling in further education. Up until now, one or two students have received this scholarship per year.

LSH Asia Shogakukai Scholarship

Lee Su Hyon, who was then a pre-college student studying at a Japanese language school, died trying to save a man who had fallen onto the train tracks at JR Shin-Okubo Station. His father Lee Song Tae donated the money he received in sympathy to establish this scholarship foundation. Winners receive ¥25,000 per month for six months while attending Miroku-no-sato Japanese Language School.

Kyoritsu International Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is from the Kyoritsu International Foundation, which was set up in 1995 to create friendly relationships between Japan and Asia through providing financial assistance to international students from Asian countries. As Miroku-no-sato Japanese Language School is designated as a school eligible for scholarships, we are able to nominate one scholarship student each year. One student who has excellent grades, academic performance, and Japanese skills receives ¥60,000 per month from the fund for one year while attending Miroku-no-sato Japanese Language School.

School Awards

Exemplary Student Award

Every semester, we select one exemplary student from each class who has outstanding grades, attendance, and attitude to receive this award and subsidy.

Perfect Attendance Award/Diligence Award

At graduation, students who have not had any absences or missed classes receive the Perfect Attendance Award and a subsidy, and students with above-average attendance receive the Diligence Award and a subsidy.
